The 2009 ML Class Is Available at Your Mercedes-Benz Dealers

We’ve written about the 2009 ML Class at your local Mercedes-Benz dealers a couple times this month. But this great SUV is worth writing about even more. Following are some bits of history and information about the ML Class so you can have a better appreciation for them when you visit your Mercedes-Benz dealers.

• In 2007, the M Class celebrated its 10-year anniversary. To commemorate the special event, Mercedes-Benz produced a limited edition model of the M Class and called it the “Edition 10.”
• The M Class of Mercedes-Benz made its debut in 1998. In 2006, the automaker put it through a major redesign.
• In 2009, Mercedes-Benz plans to release a hybrid model of the ML Class, called the ML450 Hybrid. The engine will have 265 horsepower with a V6 engine. Officials at Mercedes say this is going to be “the most efficient SUV in its class, returning an estimated 30 mpg (7.7Lpetrol per 100km) fuel economy figure.”
• Prices for the ML Class range from about $43,000 for the most basic trim model to more than $86,000 for the sportier, more powerful models.
• Some of the safety features that have helped the ML Class receive a high rating from the NHTSA include an electronic stability program, a four-wheel electronic traction system, front and side airbags and much, much more.
