Get Plenty of Sleep
When you’re tired, you’re much more irritable and stressed. Even the tiniest little things can set you off. But if you get plenty of sleep, you won’t be so annoyed and stressed on your way to work in the morning. Also, make sure you wake up early enough so you can still be on time even if you get stuck in traffic for a short amount of time.
Try Carpooling
Nothing relieves stress like having some fun people to take your mind off the situation. Find some people at work that you get along with and see if they would be willing to carpool with you. Make sure they’re the type of people that reduce your stress rather than add to it, though.
Get Satellite Radio
When I travelled cross-country this summer, the thing that kept me awake and stress-free was the complimentary XM Radio that I received with my rental car. I kept it on the comedy stations 90 percent of the time and that kept my spirits up even when I was tired of driving. Give that a try and you’ll have some great jokes to tell at the water cooler, too!
