Actually, the movie side of the screen is designed for the passenger to watch while the driver does not have to change the navigation screen. The eight-inch display center is so high-tech that it “uses a clever masking system to direct light from alternate pixels in different directions, resulting in a two-at-once viewer where the other screen is completely invisible to one viewer.” In simpler terms, only the navigation scene is visible from the driver’s angle and only the movie scene is visible from the passenger’s angle.
I’m assuming, however, that the driver can still hear the movie unless the passenger wants to be stingy and put on headphones. If it’s a classic movie, hearing it is almost as good as watching it.
