A resident of Kendall, Florida became the proud owner of a new Mercedes-Benz GLK last week. Alexander Dugarte entered a contest sponsored by American Express and area Mercedes-Benz dealers to give away three 2010 GLK SUVs to three lucky cardholders in the nation. Dugarte was one of those lucky cardholders.
“It’s exciting because I haven’t seen any others on the road,” Dugarte said after winning the luxury SUV. “People have only seen this car in commercials.”
In order to be an eligible contestant in the contest, American Express cardholders had to go to the company’s My WishList website on December 18 at predetermined times and click the button that said, “Go for it!”
Dugarte’s new 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK came equipped with a number of features you’d only expect in a luxury vehicle. Voice recognition for the navigation system, Sirius Satellite Radio and rain-sensing wipers are just a few luxurious features we’d all like to have in our car. In addition to the GLK, Dugarte also received a check for $35,000 to cover the taxes and then some.
