New Split-Screens Coming to Benz Dealers

The S-Class models at your local Benz dealers are going to get a new technology that will make your car experience even more exciting: a split-screen navigation and entertainment system.

Earlier this month, officials at Mercedes-Benz announced that the automaker was going to introduce this new technology in the summer of 2009. The new split-screen system is going to allow the passenger and driver to use the same screen for different purposes at the same time. The driver can use half of the screen for navigating the streets, for instance, while the passenger watches Steve McQueen’s “Bullitt” on the other half of the screen.

With help from Bosch auto suppliers, Mercedes-Benz developed this 8-inch monitor. “A filter masking the display divides this mixed image in such a way that depending on the seating position, only the pixels making up one or the other image can be seen,” said officials with MB. The device also supplies headphones for the passenger to minimize the distraction to the driver.

Of course, this is likely going to be an add-on option rather than a standard feature for right now. Mercedes has not released any specifics about the pricing for the option just yet, though. Visit your Princeton, NJ area Mercedes-Benz dealer today to find out more about this exciting feature and how you can get one when they come out.

Mercedes-Benz Dealers Top One Million Sales for 2008

If you haven’t heard anything about the economic crisis happening all over the world right now, you’ve been hiding under a rock. But despite this grim news, Mercedes-Benz dealers all over the planet have combined sales that exceed one million units thus far in 2008.

The sales figures only measure the number of cars sold at various Mercedes-Benz dealers all over the world between January and the end of November. Analysts say at least 1,158,200 units were sold during this time period. The amazing thing is that amidst the economic turmoil, that’s only a one percent decline in sales from the same period of 2007.

In Western Europe alone, the sales at Mercedes-Benz dealers amounted to about 683,400 for the years, more than half of the worldwide sales. More than 50,000 of those units were sold in November alone.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is one of the biggest sellers for Mercedes-Benz this year with more than a half million units being delivered to customers in 2008.

Mercedes Dealers Invite NJ Lottery Winners to Their Lot

Can you think of a better place to spend a fraction of your lottery winnings than one of the Mercedes dealers in your town? I can’t and neither can your Mercedes dealers. That’s why they invite the most recent New Jersey lottery winners to their lot for a brand new Mercedes-Benz.

It was only four months ago when Clelia Lopes was a mere homemaker shopping at Newark’s Seabra Supermarket. Her husband was a construction foreman. They both came to the United States from Portugal over 30 years ago. They were both hoping to win the $126 million Mega Millions jackpot when they bought a ticket on July 22.

As hopeful as they were, they forgot to check their lottery ticket when the numbers were read that night. They didn’t even check their numbers the next day. In fact, it wasn’t until four months later when they realized they were the winners of the jackpot.

So far, they don’t have any plans to visit their Cherry Hill area Mercedes-Benz dealer and splurging on a new car. “We’re working people,” they said through a family friend. But once they get accustomed to having the money, they may just change their mind.

Benz Dealers Present Ways to Travel Greener

With the upcoming holiday season, you’re going to start seeing a lot of red and green decorations. You might even see your local Benz dealers dressed up with festive decorations! But one gift that you can give back to the environment is greener traveling season. Here are some ways you can be a “green” traveler without seeing red.

1. Reduce paper waste. A GPS device is a great way to be greener this season. When you’re traveling out of town, enter all the information you need into your GPS device instead of printing out directions on paper. You’ll reduce your waste and have the information at your fingertips.
2. Prepare your car. Check your tire pressure, your fluid levels and everything else that will make your car run more efficiently. The less fuel you use, the better it is for the environment. Try carpooling to your relatives’ homes, too. Of course, if your family is like mine, that may not even be an option if you want to keep your sanity this season!
3. Shop online instead of in line. Instead of driving from this store to that, do the majority of your shopping online. You can even shop your local Benz dealers online to find the car you want before visiting them. This can save on fuel and even save time. Visiting your Flemington, NJ Mercedes-Benz dealer this holiday season is the best gift you could give yourself while being good to the environment at the same time!

Mercedes Dealers Want to Dominate the SUV Market

With the upcoming launch of the 2010 GLK350, your Mercedes dealers and the automaker in general plans to corner the coveted SUV market.

The engineers at Mercedes-Benz made the GLK to be one of the smallest and least expensive sport utility vehicles in the industry today. It’s definitely the smallest and least expensive one in the luxury automaker’s entire lineup.

Mercedes allowed the press access to the 2010 GLK350 earlier this month to get people excited. The launch won’t hit your Lawrenceville area Mercedes-Benz dealer until early in 2009. Reviewers have already had the opportunity to drive these luxury SUVs through a variety of terrains and situations to test their handling and drivability. From what they say, these are going to be very popular in 2009.

Who wouldn’t like the GLK350, though? It comes with a 10-way power seat for the driver, dual climate controls, BlueTooth capabilities, a 4MATIC transmission and much, much more.

The base price for the Mercedes-Benz 2010 GLK350 is just under $42,000. That’s an attractive price for a vehicle of this caliber. And, of course, you can spend more depending on what you want to add to your GLK and depending on the package you choose.

Visit your nearby Mercedes dealer today to reserve your 2010 GLK350. You don’t want to miss out on this one!

One Benz Car You Won’t Find at Your Mercedes Dealers

Your local Mercedes dealers have a variety of luxury vehicles designed for the most discerning car buyer. However, there is one Mercedes-Benz vehicle your Mercedes dealers do not have.

Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian are putting Reggie’s Mercedes-Benz car up for sale on eBay. They’re not just doing it to shove more money in their pockets, though. Reggie Bush has decided to part with his limited edition 2006 MB CLS500 with Shark II kit in order to give some of the proceeds to the Dream Foundation, a wish-granting organization for adults with terminal illnesses.

The limited edition Mercedes is truly one of a kind. In fact, only three of these cars have been made with the Shark II kit. Reggie Bush has maintained the vehicle very well and he has only put about 7,000 miles on it. If the lucky bidder requests it, Reggie will even autograph the dashboard before making delivery of the vehicle.

At last check, the bids went up to $80,100. However, the reserve was not met. It is unknown if it will go back on sale. However, you can visit your Cherry Hill, NJ area Mercedes-Benz dealer and get something similar. You may even be able to special order one that looks just like Reggie’s and drive around in the ultimate style!

Safety Features Abound at Benz Dealers

On Monday, we wrote about the new headlight system available on some new models at your local Benz dealers. But that isn’t the only thing that engineers with this luxury automaker are working on lately.

For the 2010 E-Class models at your Princeton, NJ area Mercedes-Benz dealers, the automaker has added a Lane Departure Warning System. Many other automakers are working on similar systems, but the one on the MB E-Class is different. Instead of just having a small beeping noise when veering into another lane, the steering wheel actually vibrates to get your attention better.

The new system works through a small camera mounted in the rearview mirror. The camera reads the lane markings on the roads and it monitors the driver’s actions. It then takes this data and analyzes it in order to determine if the car is slowly veering over mistakenly or if it’s a quick motion that the driver has intended to do. If the system determines that the driver has intended to go into the next lane, it sends no warning.

Along with the other safety features already installed on many new cars at your Benz dealers, you simply can’t go wrong with one of these luxury vehicles. Check one out today!

Mercedes-Benz Dealers Applaud Intelligent High Beams

A new feature that you may find on some new cars at your Lawrenceville, NJ area Mercedes-Benz dealers is the adaptive headlight system.

The new headlight system is going to be ideal for people who do a lot of their driving at night along back roads and side streets. The feature adjusts the amount of light output to “maximize visibility for the Mercedes driver and also oncoming traffic,” according to AutomobileMag.com.

With the new feature, the driver does not need to switch between high and low beams because the system does it all for you. It does this through a small camera mounted in the rearview mirror that monitors the headlights of oncoming vehicles and tail lights of cars in front of your to regulate the amount of let it puts out. The system also adjusts the aim for a more focused beam.

Another thing the system does is aims the lights down toward the road as oncoming cars approach. Once the cars have passed by, the headlights aim back up for maximum visibility.

The luxury automaker is working on other features for headlights as well. You can check these new features out at your local Mercedes-Benz dealer.

PA Used Car Dealers Encourage Buyers to Shop Today!

Like many car dealers across the nation this holiday season, your PA used car dealers are encouraging shoppers to stop by for a great deal.

With all of the deals, incentives and discounts available, this is one of the best times to visit your PA used car dealers and your Lawrenceville, NJ area Mercedes-Benz dealer. “Things are difficult,” said one car dealer that is offering specials to customers willing to buy right now.

Earlier this year, people stopped buying larger vehicles because the cost of gas was more than $4 a gallon. As soon as gas prices started coming down, the housing crisis occurred and car sales came to a screeching halt. “People were frightened,” said one dealer. “They didn’t know what was happening.”

Things are getting better, though. Dealers have experienced an upswing in sales since the presidential election. And although they expect sales to be about 27 percent lower than they were last November, those figures still represent about a two percent increase over October’s sales. Part of the upswing in sales is due to the huge incentives that manufacturers and dealers are offering to customers.

Don’t wait until all of the incentives are gone. Visit a dealer today and get behind the wheel of a great new or used vehicle before it’s too late!
