Pennsylvania Auto Dealers Celebrate the World Series

Your Pennsylvania auto dealers want to congratulate the Philadelphia Phillies for the way they’ve played in the World Series this year. Specifically, we want to give a special “shout out” to Joe Blanton, one of the teams’ pitchers, for his recent performance.

On Sunday night, Joe Blanton hit his first homerun in Game 4 or the World Series against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. In addition to it being Blanton’s very first homerun, it was also the first time any pitcher has hit a homerun in the World Series in more than two decades. The last time, in fact, was in 1974. In addition, he also became the second Phillies pitcher to hit a homer in the postseason. The only other Philadelphia pitcher to accomplish this monumental task was Steve Carlton in the 1978 playoffs against the Dodgers.

When asked about his hitting approach, Blanton took a relaxed position, saying that he just “closes his eyes and swings hard in case something good happens,” according to a report.

The only thing that could deflect from the celebration was the fact that the manager for the Rays – Joe Maddon – was complaining about some unexplained substance on Blanton’s hat as he was pitching. The umpires, however, saw no reason to take any action as it was nothing more than some dirt.

If you’re still reveling in the excitement of the World Series like your Pennsylvania auto dealers, why not visit your local Mercedes-Benz dealer near Cherry Hill, NJ for a thrilling deal on a new or certified Benz? It’s the perfect way to top off an exciting season!

ML-Class at Your Mercedes-Benz Dealers Make Happy Customers

Do you remember the days when you could smell a diesel engine coming from a mile away? Those were the days when diesels were smelly, loud and even visible because you could see the exhaust coming from underneath the car.

But those days have changed…and the ML-Class at your Mercedes-Benz dealers is proof.

Many of the new ML-Class that is available at Mercedes-Benz dealers across the country includes a fuel-efficient and quiet diesel engine, named the BlueTec. Specifically, these engines are available on the Mercedes-Benz ML320. The new model went on sale earlier this month in North America to the delight of many SUV owners who also enjoy the luxury you can only get with a Benz. The base price starts at less than $50,000, which isn’t a bad price considering it combines the luxury of a Mercedes, the convenience of an SUV, the power of a diesel engine and the efficiency of a smaller vehicle.

The nice thing about this model over the previous ML320 is that it meets the regulations of all 50 states (yes, even California), making it marketable all over the United States.

Are you convinced? Visit a local Mercedes-Benz dealer today and check out one of these vehicles. It’ll change your mind about diesel engines for sure!

PA Used Car Dealers Offer Interior Cleaning Tips

Anybody who has kids will tell you how hard it is to keep the inside of your car clean. That’s why your PA used car dealers near Princeton, NJ want to give you some tips about protecting the interior and keeping it look like new.

Use disposable covers. One way that many car owners keep the inside of their cars protected from the effects of little kids and their drinks is to use seat covers and floor mats. But these aren’t the expensive kinds of mats and covers. Many parents buy the cheap ones so they can simply throw them away when they get too stained or dirty. Then they replace them with new mats and covers to keep the inside as clean as a whistle.

Ask your dealer for cleaning agents. If you don’t like the “throw-away mats and covers” idea, your PA used car dealers may have some special cleaning agents made specifically for car interiors. If you have a Mercedes, you can check with your local Mercedes-Benz dealer for specialty agents, too.

Use the basics. After your child has made a stain, sometimes it helps to allow it to harden and then scrape it off with a spatula. Use a basic soap and water mixture afterwards to clean any residue. Allow the mixture to soak in for a few minutes before trying to scrub it out.

Use a blow dryer. For stains on the seats or the ceiling, it usually helps to use a blow dryer after getting the area wet. This will help it dry quicker and cleaner.

Follow these tips and you should be able to keep the inside of your car squeaky clean even with the unruliest of passengers.

Pennsylvania Auto Dealers Congratulate GLK Recipient

Your Pennsylvania auto dealers near Flemington, NJ want to congratulate the first recipient of the newest Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class vehicle. This was the first GLK vehicle delivered to a member of the public and the lucky winner was Magdalena Dietz of Germany.

Magdalena Dietz, a public relations consultant and entrepreneur, received the keys earlier this week from the Bremen MB plant manager, Peter Schabert. He, too, is excited about the event because the GLK is the automaker’s “most important new model this year.” He also said that he was “delighted to personally hand over the first GLK to its owner.”

Dietz’s new GLK Mercedes-Benz is a sleek vehicle with a “metallic tenorite gray coloring” for the exterior. This particular one has more than 220 horsepower and a 320 CDI 4MATIC engine. Dietz is pleased to be the owner of this new vehicle, but who wouldn’t be?

Since officials are expecting the GLK to be a favorite among consumers, why not visit your local Mercedes-Benz dealer and check one out this season? With its fuel efficiency, sleek style and status, it’s the perfect vehicle for making that first impression anywhere you need to go.

Mercedes-Benz Dealers Present Facts about the ML-Class

We’ve written a lot about the ML-Class vehicles that you can find at your local Mercedes-Benz dealer in Princeton, NJ and elsewhere in the area. But in many of those posts, we just assume everybody knows what the ML-Class is. This post provides some basic information about the ML-Class available at Mercedes-Benz dealers across the nation.

• The ML-Class, or the M-Class as it’s more commonly known, is a mid-size SUV in the luxury segment. Mercedes-Benz has been producing this vehicle since 1997 and it became the company’s shift into becoming a competitor in the global auto market.
• The M-Class vehicles were the first luxury SUVs that featured a stability control system. This system helps the driver maintain control during emergency situations by using selective braking. It makes it easier to regain the vehicle’s intended course instead of skidding out of control. Recently, this type of feature has been shown to reduce accidents by about 30 percent.
• In addition to stability control features, the M-Class also included front and side airbags. There was also a feature that detected the weight and size of the person in the front seat so it could control the amount of pressure in the airbag in case of a collision. This helps protect smaller passengers like children more efficiently than normal airbags.

Those are just a few innovations from the ML-Class that you can get at your local Mercedes-Benz dealer. Check one out today and see why they’re still one of the most popular luxury SUVs on the market!

Pennsylvania Auto Dealers Present Four Ways to Keep Your Car Safe

With car thefts always on the rise in our society, your Pennsylvania auto dealers want to offer some tips to keep your car safe. Although nothing is every completely safe in the world in which we live, there are some things you can do to deter would-be criminals. Here are some tips from your Pennsylvania auto dealers that you should consider.

Always keep your car doors locked. This might seem like common sense, but you’d be surprised how many cars are stolen or vandalized simply because the doors were not locked.

Keep your keys with you. Did you know that about 20 percent of car thefts are due to the fact that the owner left the keys in the car? There’s just no excuse for that.

Never put anything valuable in plain sight. Hide anything of value in the trunk or under the seat. Purses, CDs and anything else that criminals would want should always be hidden.

Don’t hide a spare key anywhere on your car. Do you think you’re the only person clever enough to find the spare key you have hidden in that secret spot? Thieves know all the hiding places and they don’t mind looking.

What’s the point of getting an awesome car from your local Mercedes-Benz dealer if you’re going to make it a target for theft? Use these and other common sense tips and hopefully your car will always be safe.

Some Tips for Fall TLC for Buick Used Cars

For those owners of Buick used cars that live in some of the cold states, it’s about that time. That’s right – it’s time for some preventative fall maintenance before the winter hits. It’s important to take care of your Buick used cars before the first snowfall because you will not want to get out in the cold weather and do these things. Here are some things to keep in mind before Old Man Winter starts blowing.

Check your battery. Batteries tend to be less efficient during the colder months of the year. Some of them will even die on you at the most inconvenient times (I’ve learned this one the hard way). Get your battery checked for free at Autozone or another auto parts store and avoid the costly towing charges and getting stuck somewhere for hours.

Check your brakes. You should keep your brakes in tip-top condition throughout the year. However, it’s even more important to make sure they’re in good working order if you’re going to be driving through the slush and the snow. Getting them changed before signs of trouble will save you money in the long run anyways.

Check your wipers. These are usually forgotten parts of the car, but they are so important. Make sure they don’t have any cracks in them before winter hits. If they are leaving streaks or smears on your windshield, replace them. It’s easy and inexpensive.

These are just a few tips for preparing your Buick used cars for the cold months ahead. If you have any questions, you can take your car to the service center of your local Buick dealer and get a full checkup just to be safe.

PA Dealers Welcome Grateful Dead to “Rock the Vote”

As a representative of your local PA dealers, I don’t like to get political on this blog. This isn’t the time or place to try to sway somebody’s vote either way. But when important political events occur in or around the state, your PA dealers want to recognize them. This is one of those events.

On Monday night, remaining members of the legendary Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers Band came together at the Bryce Jordan Center to increase awareness of the importance of voting. I’ll give you two chances to guess who they are supporting.

The musicians from the 60s entertained played on the Penn State University stage for about 15,000 people. That makes me wonder how many people actually remember the names Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Phil Lesh and Bill Kreutzman. However, this was the first time the four musicians got together since 2004, although three of the four did a concert in support for one candidate in California early this year.

Mickey Hart, drawing from his drumming expertise as part of the Grateful Dead, supports his candidate’s views on global warming. “The Grateful Dead does not take this lightly,” he said.

Your PA dealers and your local Buick dealer want to encourage you to get out and vote, too. However, we want you to become an informed voter and vote the way you see fit rather than voting for someone a musician wants you to vote for. I like “The Dead,” but I don’t like when any musician tries to influence the way someone votes.

The “big day” is less than three weeks away. Mark it on your calendar and don’t forget!

Pennsylvania Auto Dealers Present Info about New Cell Software

A new piece of software for your mobile device helps to prevent drivers from making phone calls or texting while driving. The technology, which was created by a Canadian company, was recently unveiled and your Pennsylvania auto dealers want you to know about it.

The software is dubbed DriveAssist and it was created by Aegis Mobility. The company describes it as “advanced call management technology” and it works as a type of “virtual secretary.” If you have your mobile device with you in a moving car, the software intercepts any incoming calls or texts and lets the person know that you are not available. The caller can either leave a message or call back later. In addition, the software may also tell the caller where the person is through GPS technology.

The software detects when a user is moving at speeds typical of automobile speeds. It’s meant to keep drivers safe by not distracting them with phone calls or texts. However, callers can bypass the technology by indicating the call or text is an emergency.

Currently, the company that created the software is working with cell phone carriers to make the service available as a subscription-based service. With this technology, you can drive away from your local Mercedes-Benz dealer without worrying about your phone ringing and distracting your when you need to concentrate on the road in front of you.
